🌱 Expert Planting Tip: The "Settle & Fill" Method

To give your strawberries the best start, we recommend a two-stage filling process:

1. Initial Fill: Fill each tier with your preferred high-quality potting mix, garden soil, or topsoil to the very top.
2. The Settle: Water the soil thoroughly or allow it to sit for 24–48 hours. This allows air pockets to collapse naturally.
3. Final Top-Off: Once the soil has settled, add a final layer so the surface sits LEVEL with the rim. Note: some settling will still occur over time.
4. Why it matters: Proper soil height ensures runners have a stable surface to land on. Furthermore, adding soil after planting may bury the crown, which can stunt or kill established strawberry plants.
